At 9.23pm on Sunday 5 June we responded to a van on fire on Lichfield Road, Rushall.

One fire engine and five firefighters from Walsall fire station arrived at the scene five minutes after being mobilised, to find the vehicle well alight.

The fire started accidentally while the van was being driven.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus made the vehicle safe and the road was closed for safety for a short time.

The owner was making arrangements for the vehicle to be removed from the scene.
