Over 60 firefighters were called to a significant fire in a single-storey industrial unit, on Birmingham Road, Dudley, this morning (13 November) at 2.30am. At the height of the incident, 10 fire engines, a 4x4 response vehicle and a hydraulic platform were in attendance. The crews from Dudley, Tipton, Oldbury, Haden Cross, Brierley Hill and Bilston worked with partner agencies on the scene to tackle the blaze.
A number of residents have been temporarily relocated to a local fast food restaurant, as a precaution, whilst our crews bring the fire under control.
Dudleys' Fisher Road bus station, operated by National Express, is currently closed along with road closures still in place on St Joseph Street and Porters Fld.
We encourage residents to avoid the area and check travel routes prior to commencing their journey.
