Shortly before 6.35pm on Wednesday 3 January, we responded to Alexandra Road, Tipton.

Fire engines crewed by 15 firefighters from Tipton, Wednesbury and Dudley attended, the first arriving within three minutes of being mobilised.

This was a collision between a car and a van.

Two men in the car were rescued by firefighters. A male in the van needed to be cut free and was given emergency trauma care by our crews before being taken into the care of the ambulance service. All three are understood to have been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Alexandra Road was closed while emergency services worked at the scene.

We left this incident at 8.06pm.
