Just after 5.45pm on Saturday 9 July we responded to a large van on fire in the Stoke area of Coventry.

A fire engine crewed by four firefighters from Binley fire station attended.

They arrived to find the vehicle well ablaze in Charterhouse Road.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally. It was extinguished with hose reel jets by firefighters in breathing apparatus.

Heat from the fire affected the windows, fascias and guttering of three nearby properties.
