Bromley Street, Lye, Stourbridge, UK

We were called at 04:40 on 11 May to reports of a scrap yard on fire on Bromley Street, Lye in Stourbridge.

Our Fire Control teams mobilised additional resources as a result of 999eye footage received from a caller showing the extent of the fire.

The incident involved a large number of scrap vehicles, tyres and other materials.

20 firefighters from Stourbridge, Haden Cross, Brierley Hill and Oldbury attended the incident which had 3 main jets and 1 hose reel jet in use at the height of the incident.

No injuries or casualties were reported.

The cause of the incident has not yet been established and a single crew remains at the scene conducting investigations.
