Clifton Road, Halesowen, UK

At 7.52pm on Thursday 21 April we responded to a fire in a terraced house in Halesowen where cannabis was being grown.

Our first crew arrived at Clifton Road, Hurst Green four minutes after being mobilised.

A total of 20 firefighters attended, from Haden Cross, Smethwick, Oldbury and Woodgate Valley fire stations.

The fire affected the first floor and roof space of the house. Fire and heat also affected adjoining properties’ lofts.

Crews wore breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, which was confirmed to be out by 9.50pm.

One resident is understood to have been found emergency accommodation by the council.
