Rowley Drive, Coventry, UK

At 8.41pm on Wednesday (5 Oct) we responded to a fire in a factory on Rowley Drive, Tollbar End, Coventry.

Four fire engines, two 4x4 Brigade Response Vehicles and an aerial platform attended. They were crewed by around 30 firefighters from Binley, Foleshill, Coventry, Canley and Hay Mills fire stations.

They arrived to find a fire in a silicone oven, which had spread via extraction ducting to affect roof fascias.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using hose reel jets had extinguished the fire by 11pm.

Utility engineers isolated gas and electricity supplies to assist our work and protect firefighters and on-site staff.

A fire crew revisited the scene on Thursday morning and used thermal imaging cameras to confirm there were no remaining hotpots.
