40 firefighters extinguish blaze in void Willenhall factory

Shortly after 2.35am on Thursday (5 September), we responded to Moat Street, Willenhall. Seven fire engines, one 4×4 brigade response vehicle and a hydraulic aerial platform initially responded, crewed by around 40 firefighters. This was a fire in a void factory unit, measuring approximately 20m x 40m. The fire was confirmed to be extinguished at around 4.15am, and we scaled down our resources at this incident an hour later. Crews were supported by drone operations. There were no casualties or injuries. Representatives from Cadent and Severn Trent were in attendance. Police and Highways also attended and assisted with traffic duties. One fire engine remains at this incident as firefighters work to extinguish any remaining hotspots.
