Wolverhampton train station, Railway Drive, Wolverhampton, UK

At 1.55pm on Wednesday (7 June) we responded to fire at Wolverhampton train station on Railway Drive.

Two fire engines attended, crewed by a total of nine firefighters from Wolverhampton and Fallings Park fire stations. The first arrived within three minutes of being mobilised.

The fire is believed to involve an under carriage of a four-carriage train at Platform 3.

Services have been stopped and parts of the station evacuated as a precaution.

No-one is reported to be hurt.

Trains to Platforms 3 and 4 have been stopped.

We are working closely with rail staff to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.
