Shortly after 5.10pm on Tuesday (29 August), we responded to a fire at a factory unit on Ettingshall Road, Wolverhampton.

Five fire engines, three 4x4 brigade response vehicles, and a hydraulic aerial platform responded, crewed by around 40 firefighters from Black Country fire stations.

Cordons were put in place while crews in breathing apparatus brought under control and extinguished the fire, which affected around half of the unit.

A drone was used to check for hotspots, but none were found. We left the incident at 8.41pm.

A crew revisited the site at 11.05pm to confirm there were no further flare-ups.
