West Mids firefighters rescue six dogs from house fire

Six dogs were rescued, safe and well, after an outdoor fire spread to the roof of a house extension.

Firefighters from Binley fire station responded to Binley Road in Stoke, Coventry at 11.45am on Friday 11 November. They arrived four minutes after being mobilised.

Crews had to force their way into the house to rescue the animals.

The fire had been extinguished by 12.25pm, by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel.
