Four crews have attended a bungalow fire on Arrowfield Green, Kings Norton where a woman has been rescued

At 13:51 on 28 March, we were alerted to a bungalow fire on Arrowfield Green, Kings Norton in Birmingham.
Four fire crews were mobilised, with a total of 17 firefighters attending, from Kings Norton, Northfield and Bournbrook.
Our crews, wearing breathing apparatus, are using two hose reel jets to tackle the blaze.
A woman has been rescued from the property.
We’re also assessing any fire spread to the next-door property using a thermal image camera.
West Midlands Ambulance paramedics are also in attendance.
We’ve made good progress at this incident, with two of our crews being released.
The fire was confirmed to have started in the kitchen of a single-storey bungalow. 100% of the kitchen was affected by fire, with 70% of the property affected by smoke damage.
Crews have checked for any fire spread to the adjacent property.
The lady that was rescued has been conveyed to hospital by West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The cause has yet to be determined.
West Midlands Police have also been in attendance.
Crews have now left the scene with our fire investigators.
Birmingham City Council have been requested to attend to board up the property.
Further updates on the cause will be added if and when known.
