Crews from Walsall, Bloxwich, Willenhall and Aldridge are tackling a fire in the attic of a detached home in Rowley Street, Walsall.

We were called at 09:37 on Monday 9 May and our first crews arrived in just 4 minutes 16 seconds.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using one hose reel jet are dealing with the fire.

All persons are accounted for and no casualties or injuries have been reported.

This incident involved a fire on the third floor of a 3 storey residential property.

The bedroom affected was 100% damaged by fire and the rest of the third floor suffered around 70% smoke damage.

Four occupiers of the property safely exited the property prior to our arrival and sustained no injuries.

Investigations into the cause are still in progress and crews will commence salvage duties once they are complete.


Fire investigations have concluded. The cause of the incident is believed to be accidental.

Crews completed salvage duties at approx 14:38 and a single crew will revisit the property later today.
