RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST  

West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information requested on 2^nd March 2023

Please find below a summary of our findings.

Request.

I am writing to make a request for all the information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2002. Please may you provide me with information concerning the fire and rescue service, answering the following:
How many fire safety audits have been undertaken at hotels in each of the last six financial years, including the current financial year to date?

Our reporting processes only show the last 3 years’ worth of information please see below.  However, we will be required to carry out manual searches for previous years information and therefore estimate that to locate, retrieve, extract the information it would exceed the appropriate time limit allowed the under the Freedom of Information 2000 before we could apply charges.  However, if you wish for us to proceed to issue you fee notice please advise us at your earliest convince.  Please note:  Fee notice will have to be paid in full before we can release the information.

WMFS does not serve prosecutions to hotels. However, the prosecution is brought against the responsible person or company (or both).  Please find figures for the corresponding years below:
