RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information requested on 24th August 2022
Please find below a summary of our findings.

I would like to know how many fires WMFS have attended in exempt properties in the last five years and how many people have been injured or dead in these fires (by year).

There has been a total of 326 primary fires attended by WMFS at HMO’s between the financial years 2017/18 and 2021/22. Of the 326 fires, 94 people were recorded to have been injured or killed.
