RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST  

I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested further to your freedom of information request. 

Please find below a summary of our findings. 

Request 

Please can you tell me how many whole time operational firefighters you employ as of 7 Jul 22 from the role of firefighter upto Watch Commander. 

How many people in your workforce have less than 5 years employment in West Midlands fire service as of 7 Jul 22 between roles of firefighter and watch commander 

Reply 

We currently employ 1286 operational firefighters up to watch commanders, this includes both stations and departments. 387 have less than 5 years service.
