RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested further to your freedom of information request.
Please find below a summary of our findings.
Request
I wish to request response details for all fire stations within West Midlands for the calendar years of 2019, 2020 and 2021. I wish this request to include all incident types, to include all over boarder mobilisations and also incidents in which a fire appliance was stood down.
Where stations have vehicles separate to a PRL I wish these to be differentiated in the form of heading for station and then PRL and BRV followed by the number. If a station has specific special appliance I.e a command unit I would like these to be separate also.

Please see attached. Please note the following
To differentiate those ‘stood down’ for incidents where another callsign did attend, because in many instances there is no ‘on scene’ time because the MDT failed and they would then be reassigned to the incident and attend rather than because they were stood down. The only way to separate those is to do it manually, as this would mean checking thousands of rows then this would be over the time limit allowed for Freedom of information requests, if you still would like the information please let me know and I will send you a fees notice, once this has been paid we can provide the data.
The table attached gives how often callsigns booked in attendance at operational incidents, by station, callsign type and calendar year, and a separate table which does the same but for how many times callsigns were mobilised to an incident where everyone was stood down.
