I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested further to your freedom of information request.

This information is exempt under section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as we do not hold this information. Web services is one of several applications developed and maintained in house and we are unable to provide an annual cost of this system as we do not records this information.

The procurement of any system will be the responsibility of the following departments: Digital and data, Transport engineering workshops and Procurement

West Midlands Fire Service does not have equipment that manages our equipment maintenance and tracks the asset location on-board our vehicles

4.      Do you have a system that manages and tracks your PPE?

Structural fire kit supplied by Bristol is tracked on their own system the Bristol portal, which can be accessed by operational personnel. Who can view their current allocation of kit (details barcodes, condition code, when it was last seen in the service centre for laundry and repair and the life of the garment from when it was manufactured). All of the items of PPE from Bristol are RFID tagged.

Bristol PPE is personal issue, but we also have a pool stock of loaner kit in Stores

There are new projects to move fleet management and other assets from legacy systems to cloud based solutions.
