I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested further to your freedom of information request.

Please find below a summary of our findings.

1-7. This information is exempt under section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as we do not hold this information. WMFS does not have any contracts for cleaning, our cleaning is carried out in house.

Food – Service contract that is focused around catering services.

  2. Total Annual Spend is £4740.00
  3. The services provided under this contract is a Mini market facility at our headquarters building providing a small variety of perishable and non-perishable food stuffs made available to be purchased by staff and visitors and some catering/refreshments provided for events as required
  4. The contract is for Fire service Headquarters only
  5. The start date of the contract is July 2021
  6. The end date of the contract is June 2023
  7. The duration of the contract is 2 years.
  8. The person responsible for this contract is the Procurement Manager.   3. The services provided are for the collection and recycling of general waste & mixed re-cycling waste at all sites within WMFRA.

  6. The end date of the contract is 5-1-25
  7. The duration of the contract is 2 years plus a 4 year option to extend

  2. Total Annual Spend is approximately £40.5K per annum
  3. The services provided under this contract the provision of laundry services – required for rental and non-rental items at all sites within West Midlands Fire Authority,

including weekly collection and delivery of Items

The Rental items include Bath Towels, Tea Towels and Aprons for 41 Fire Service locations.

Provision of Workwear Coveralls is required for the Transport Engineering Workshop only and these garments must be dry cleaned. Other non-rental items requiring to be sent for laundry on an ad-hoc basis include but is not limited to, Fleeces, Trousers, t-shirts, Sweatshirts, Polo shirts, Hi-Viz jerkins/coats, Cooks clothing, Water Rescue Under-suits, Oven gloves, dish cloths, dusters and tablecloths.

Collections/deliveries of ‘Rental Items’ are required to be made on a weekly basis at all Fire Stations and Headquarters and Transport Engineering Workshops (TEW).

  3. The end date of the contract is 30-3-22
  4. The duration of the contract is 2 years plus 12moth option to extend
