I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested further to your freedom of information request. 

Please find below a summary of our findings. 


The number of qualified drone operators (both full and part time) you currently have working for the you in any capacity (for example 1 x contractor, 2 x part time, 3 x full time etc). 


WMFS has 12 flexi-duty officers who are fully qualified drone pilots. This as an additional skill carried out as part of their role. 


The number and type (by manufacturer and model) of drones currently in use (for example 3 x DJI M300 etc) 


6 X DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced (M2EA), 1 X DJI Matrice 300, 6 X DJI Mini 2 


The number of drone crashes, losses or failures experienced in the last 12 months by the Force by drone type (for example 1 x DJI M300 etc)
