RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information requested on 31st August 2021
Please find below a summary of our findings.
Please could you supply me details of incidents that the fire service have attended in 2017-2018-2019 And 2020 with the following information
Date and Time of Call
Appliances Attended (With the name of the station it came from) Callsigns Specialist Vehicles (HVP, EPU etc.) End Time (stood down) Stations Ground Number of Personnel Type of Incident Location (Place / Town/County) Premises Type Outcome (Primary / Secondary) What Equipment was Used at the incidents
Please see attached.
For your information “stood down” actually means “did not attend incident”. Therefore, the time the appliance left incident has been used for the end time.
WMFS are unable to supply actual incident numbers. Therefore, an anonymous reference number has been assigned to each incident. These relate to the same incident on both tabs and therefore the data can be combined using a lookup formula.
Due to the way data is recorded, stored, and retrieved, duplication may occur if both appliance-based equipment (blue headings) and miscellaneous equipment (green heading) are used at the same incident on equipment tab.
For example, incident reference number 7 shows three separate miscellaneous items were used and results in the duplication of the number BA and hosereels used. In this case only 4 BA and 1 hosereel was used, and not 12 BA and 3 hosereels.
Please note in some incidents no equipment was used. These incidents do not feature on this list.
If you have any queries about this freedom of information request, please contact us. Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
