West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information requested on 2nd June 2021.

Please find below a summary of our findings.


Details are requested for the period of 1st January 2016-2021
For all residential incidents attended by WMFS including
Date of Incident
Height of building
Type of active safety systems present (Automatic Fire Suppression Systems)
Location of active safety systems in relation to fire(Automatic Fire Suppression Systems)
How many heads operated?
Impact upon fire?
What was the cause of the fire?


Please see attached.  Please note we do record height of buildings therefore, add number of floors.

Specific postal addresses of incidents are exempt under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.  Disclose this information with other information available would make persons identifiable and disclosing this information would contravene the GDPR data protection principles.
