I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 17th February 2015

  2. b) 82 Operational Appliances
  3. c) To date 2016 / 2017 will be the same as the current figure (82 Operational Appliances) as for the future dates we cannot give an answer as the brigade still has to deal with the budget cuts and how this will affect the future fleet size is not known.

West Midlands Fire Service aims to respond to incidents in a timely, assertive, safe and effective manner in accordance with our risk based attendance standards. In order to strive to be the best that we can be, we will continue to invest in Research and Development and which will enable us to respond effectively to the changing demands of a 21st Century fire service remaining at the cutting edge of innovation.
