Our Vision

Making the West Midlands Safer, Stronger and Healthier

We try to fight fires and stop road accidents before they even happen. Our prevention work focuses on our most vulnerable residents. By encouraging safe and healthy lifestyles, we know that we can reduce the risks that people face.

We’re passionate about helping West Midlands businesses to stay in business, and helping the economy to thrive. Our Fire Safety team work with employers to protect their people and premises.

Our firefighters aim to get to life or death emergencies in 5 minutes. And when they arrive, they call on their training and professionalism to deliver an assertive, safe and effective response.

Your Fire Service In Numbers

We work hard to analyse the risks across the West Midlands, so we can have the right people in the right place at the right time.

Your Stories

You must be really proud to have such outstanding officers under your leadership who are so exemplary in their attitude, response and generosity of spirit.

Dr D.E CasserlyHeadteacher

Your crew risked life and limb for over an hour, in bad light on a damaged roof, to insure our families' safety. Their skill, teamwork and professionalism were greatly reassuring at a time of stress for us.

A big thank you for visiting the Nursery this morning. Everyone had a fantastic time meeting Blue Watch and hearing about your work and the little boy who said "wow" on a number of occasions really summed up how impressed the children and staff were by your visit.

Paula Nursery

I suspect it would be easy for your staff to just get into 'firefighting mode' and not be concerned with the human impact. I found all of your firefighters helpful and considerate at all times, going beyond what was required of them.
