'Woody' and Mal's Big Adventure

By 13th June 2018 No Comments

Two of our Station Commanders are saddling up to raise vital funds for The Fire Fighters’ Charity.

Simon Woodward (Station Commander at Oldbury Community Fire Station) and Mal Fellows (Brierley Hill and Stourbridge) are set for the cycling adventure of a lifetime, pedalling from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

The epic trip will see the duo cover around 1,000 miles, camping overnight en route.

Said Simon: “We’re setting off on 19 June and, if all goes to plan, we’ll complete the trip in 14 days. Most of our training is done and we’re now in the final planning stages.

“We’re hoping to raise £1,000 for The Fire Fighters Charity and would really appreciate it if people could spare the time and money to sponsor us.”

Added Mal: “We’re both really looking forward to the challenge and, of course, raising as much as we can for such a brilliant charity. Let’s get pedalling!”
