RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information requested on 13th January 2021
Please find below a summary of our findings.
I would be grateful if you could provide me with details from the Service’s records for the past 3 years. The information I require is details of prosecutions by the Service which have concluded in court proceedings and a defendant/defendants has been convicted.
In particular, I would like to know the fines, costs and other penalties awarded by the sentencing court as a result of the Service’s prosecution.
In order to reduce the information you have to collate I only require this information when the defendant prosecuted by the Service is connected with the leisure, tourism, hotel and hospitality sectors.
We have had 2 prosecutions, both at Birmingham Crown Court which could be considered as being in the leisure or hospitality sectors. We have none from the tourism or hotel sectors.
Those given below are within the 3 year reporting period requested – 01.01.2018 – 31.12.2020 inclusive.
