A request for information about incidents in the communal bins at Pepys Corner
RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 24th February 2016.
Please find below a summary of our findings.
I was wondering if you would be able to advise how many calls within the last 6 – 8 months you have had to extinguish fires to the communal waste bins at Pepys Corner?
I believe it may be around 4 repeat incidents where by the communal bulk bins have been the target of arson, and am looking to see what, if any measures we can put in place to try and address this issue as the landlord of that block of flats.
Any information you can provide would be appreciated.
Since 01.04.15 and until the end of February 2016, WMFS have attended 3 incidents at Pepys Corner to put out fires in Wheelie Bins. All three were considered to be set deliberately.
One was in August 2015, one in December 2015 and one in February 2016
