I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 12th March 2018.
Please find below a summary of our findings.

I have been compiling a study since 2014 of the number of domestic battery powered smoke alarms that were fitted by the brigade authorities and the number that failed in the same year since 2014.
Statistics received from that period had shown a failure of smoke alarms fitted by brigade authorities at approximately 10%
Would it be possible for your brigades to once again provide the relative information under the freedom of information Act 2000 to the questions below, to enable this study to be updated please.
