I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 1st August 2018

Please find below a summary of our findings.

Request

This is a freedom of information request. Please could you provide me with information about your organisation’s ICT expenditure as detailed in the attached template.

I have tried to find this information in your organisation’s published data, but was unable to find the level detail I require.

I fully expect that you may not be able to provide all the information I am looking for. If this is the case, please provide me with as much information as you can within the template. For example: you may be able to sub-totals for some categories, or provide information for only for certain years.

Please return the information in the template as an Excel (.xlsx) file – not in another format (e.g. PDF).

Expenditure for ICT is provided in the published transparency reports and falls under the Expenditure Category “Communication & Computing”. A further heading “CIPFA detailed expenditure type” provides headings similar to those in the FOI spreadsheet.

Therefore this information is exempt under section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as this information is reasonably accessible to the requestor. Information concerning our ICT expenditure can be found on West Midlands Fire Service website at the below following link:

2016/17 Actual = £2.2m (Permanent £2m + Temp & Projects £0.2m)

2017/18 Actual = £2.4m (Permanent £2m + Temp & Projects £0.4m)

2018/19 Budget = £2.6m (Permanent £2.4m + Temp & Projects £0.2m)
