I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 16th February 2015

Please find below a summary of our findings.

Request

The number of call-outs made by the fire service to fires believed to have been started by self-balancing scooters (also known as hoverboards) in 2013, 2014, 2015 and January 2016?

(Please could I have the figures broken down by month for 2015)

Reply

West Midlands Fires Service has not attended any fires where the cause of ignition has been a hoverboard or self-balancing scooter.

Request

In the call-outs above, how many involved a person being physically injured in the fire (If you have this information and it is within cost limit to provide it)?
