RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST

I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 15Th May 2018.

Please find below a summary of our findings.

  1. What current contracts do the Service have in place for mapping and gazetteer management.

The organisation has a support and maintenance contract for Mapping software, a contract for mapping data translation but no contract for gazetteer management.

  1. What mapping provider is used in the control room, when is the contract expiry and what is the value of the said contract

Mapping is provided through the Public Sector Mapping Agreement and this is worth almost £10m across the public sector. Due for renewal in 2020.

  1. What mapping provider is used in the analytical community for intelligence and crime analyst purposes, when is the contract expiry and what is the value of the said contract

Mapping is provided through the Public Sector Mapping Agreement and this is worth almost £10m across the public sector. Due for renewal in 2020.

Gazetteer management software is provided in-house so there is no contract renewal date

  1. What data providers do the Service use such as Hopeweiser, QAS, Mosaic etc, when is the contract expiry and what is the value of the said contract

Experian provide Mosaic profiling data started September 2012 initially for 3 years and renewed annually thereafter. Costs for  2017/2018 £14290.56

  1. What demand management or demand profiling does the Service utilise? when is the contract expiry? and what is the value of the said contract

Cadcorp workload modeller is used and renewed annually December approximately £2k per annum
