I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 21st December 2015.

If your development programmes are linked to development rate of pay, could you share any information e.g. policies, procedures, frameworks that you have on how you fulfil the assessment and the verification requirements?

Could you specify whether you use the Circular NJC 09/15 to ensure your development programmes are accredited?

We do not link CPD payments to development programmes.

For example what quality assurance arrangements do you have internally, who undertakes the internal verification (e.g.  Is this done by peer assessment/submission to next level in the management chain to QA, or do you have a dedicated internal verification function that quality assures the evidence gathered through WPA and who ensures consistency of standards applied by the assessors?
