I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 29th July 2016.

Please find below a summary of our findings.

Can you please indicate if the fire and rescue service operates a co-responder scheme with the local ambulance service?
In what situations would the fire service act as a co-responder?
When did the fire service start doing this?
Can you please indicate how many co-responding incidents the fire service has responded to.
What were the average monthly response times to incidents in the 12 months before the co-responding schemes were introduced? What is the average monthly response time now?


West Midlands Fire Service believes that it is ready and able to undertake the role of co-responding within the West Midlands area. However at this present time the West Midlands Ambulance Service do not believe that this is required.
