RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 13th December 2018
Please find below a summary of our findings.
Birmingham City Council is proposing to close access to all traffic at the top of School Road, Moseley, Birmingham. This closure is scheduled to take place in Spring 2019 and last for at least six months.
Please, could you provide details of any impact assessment you have carried out on how this proposal will impact the ability to attend emergency calls? Could you also provide any detail on financial implications this might have route planning?
As part of the consultation process Birmingham City Council provide WMFS with details of any proposals for us to comment and advise on.
This information is shared with our response crews and where needed alternative levels of response can be provided.
Although these road alterations can cause upheaval, in general access for emergency services response is maintained.
There would be no financial implications for us as a service.
