A request for information about Buildings over 18m which were identified as having ACM cladding -18094
RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested on 20th June 2018.
Please find below a summary of our findings.
Is it possible to find out the final number of council or housing association buildings over 18m which were identified as having ACM cladding? And the total number inspected after the Grenfell Tower fire?
The total number of visual inspections is 545 Local Authority Blocks.
Of the above 11 properties have failed cladding tests as follows:-
4 Black Country North
2 Black Country South
1 Coventry and Solihull
I understand that every public building over 18m had to be inspected by the fire service after the Grenfell Tower fire last June, so would like to find out if this has been completed – and if so how many were done – and how many were identified as being covered with aluminium composite cladding.
The number of inspections conducted on high-rise residential buildings since 14 June 2017 broken down into West Midlands Wards.
Please see below:
322 – Birmingham
91 – Black Country North
80 – Black Country South
52 – Coventry and Solihull
