A request for information on fires involving appliances and recalled appliances.
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information requested on 18th August 2015
Please find below a summary of our findings.
I’m looking for statistics on appliance fires for a new campaign,
- From 2014-2015
- Or past five years from 2010-2015
- What types of appliances they were
On top of that, if you keep a list of those appliances, could you let us know if any were recalled, and had the owner known? It would really help us on an education campaign we’re doing to alert the public on the importance of registering appliances in case of recalls.
WMFS does not record information about recalled appliances and therefore does not hold information whether the owner was aware of the recall.
