RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested further to your freedom of information request.
Please find below a summary of our findings.
Between the dates of 01/01/21 – 20/05/21 can you tell me what was your busiest station and how many call outs it had and also your least busiest station and its number of call outs.
The ‘busiest’ station was Ladywood with 404 recorded operational incidents and the ‘least busiest’ was Tettenhall with 109 recorded operational incidents.
Please note the following:
- I have interpreted ‘call outs’ to mean mobilisations. However due to the way WMFS mobilise to incidents, an appliance is not always sent directly from their home station ground.
- The numbers quoted above represent mobilisations to operational incidents within WMFS and so do not include tests, exercises or over-border incidents. In addition, not all mobilisations result in attendance as the appliance may be stood down/cancelled en-route.
- The date range used is 01/01/2021 to 30/04/2021. Incident data for May has yet to be finalised.
