RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information requested on 21st January 2021
Please find below a summary of our findings.
The charge currently in place to attend a special service requiring the attendance of 1 pumping appliance for 1 hour.
West Midlands Fire Service currently charge £480.00 per hour for Special Service Charges. The financial figure is generated through a combination of staff wages and overheads which are agreed before the financial year commences. The charge is clearly stated on the SSC Form so the public understand what they are agreeing too.
Please confirm if this charge is levied via a trading arm or by the Fire Authority etc
The previous trading arm no longer exists, and West Midlands Fire Service charges are levied by the Fire Authority.
