Please find below a summary of our findings.

How many road vehicles (both fire engines and fast response cars) did the West Midlands Fire Service operate, as of 31 December 2019? If possible, please give separate figures for the basic types of vehicle. If not, please give an overall figure.

How many road accidents (crashes, scrapes and other damage) did all these vehicles incur during 2019?

In the year January 1st 2019 to December 31st 2019 we had 122 accidents involving fire service vehicles.

What was the value of the damage from all these accidents (in repairs, insurance claims and value of written-off vehicles)?

The total damage cost to West Midlands Fire Service was £66,428.63.
