RE: FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 REQUEST
West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information requested on 13th August 2019
Please find below a summary of our findings.
In light of our work on this matter, we wish to understand how the warnings and advice produced because of our original research are now being implemented across Fire and Rescue Services.
Therefore, please could we request answers to the following based upon the December 2018 MHRA report on emollient flammability:
Has this information provided by the MHRA been implemented across your Fire and Rescue Service to advise staff?
How has this been implemented? Please also provide details of any future intentions.
Guidance was issued in July 2016 to staff and also included in our Safe & well visits to people in their homes. We will review guidance in light of the document from MHRA DEC 2018
Has this information provided by the MHRA been implemented across your Fire and Rescue Service to advise the public on how to use emollient skin products safely?
How has this been implemented? Please also provide details of any future intentions
A leaflet was made available to the public in July 2016. We will review leaflet in light of the document from MHRA DEC 2018
