This information is exempt under section 21 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as this information is reasonably accessible to the requestor. The number of firefighters employed by the fire authority from 2011 to 2016 inclusive, broken down by year;

2012 1711 uniformed 1110 FF
2013 1627 uniformed 1053 FF
2014 1604 uniformed 1039 FF
2015 1578 uniformed 1024 FF
2016 1507.25 uniformed 953.25 FF – the .25 is because we have some FF working part time.
