Fire station open days

By July 10, 2017News

Every year, thousands of people enjoy open days at our community fire stations across the West Midlands.

They’re a great free day out for the whole family!hose pic

You can meet some of your local firefighters, and watch them in action as they showcase their skills –
like using specialist equipment to cut someone out of a crashed car.

Our chip pan fire demos are always dramatic, and bring home the real importance of safety in the kitchen.

You might bump into our fire investigation dogs, while at other events there’ll be the chance to have your child car seat fitting checked for safety.

Our police and ambulance colleagues and many of our community partners often help to make the days a big success. They help us to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity, and are perfect for finding out how YOU can get involved with our work.

Find out about our Young Firefighters Association groups… how to become one of our Community Members
or a volunteer… and pick up some expert advice on how to keep you, your family and your home safe.sit in a fire engine

And if all that’s not enough, you can take a seat in one of our 41 fire engines or 19 Brigade Response Vehicles! See you soon!
