We are looking to recruit a dynamic maintenance technician to work within our Equipment Maintenance and Servicing (EMS) department currently located at Fire Service HQ.

6 months initially with a view to extend and or even make permanent after internal review.

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate the aptitude to manage multiple technical / practical disciplines and a diverse workload to a constant high-quality standard.

You will be directly involved in organising and controlling the repair and maintenance of fire service equipment. This includes, but is not limited to: water gear, pneumatics, lighting and canvas items.

The role requires a high standard of self responsibility and self accountability, as this safety critical equipment is used in dynamic emergency situations.


Applicants should possess either an engineering qualification (City and Guilds/ NVQ/equivalent) or have demonstrable practical experience in the servicing and maintenance industry.

A current driving licence is essential as travel will be a core requirement of the role.
