Your role as a Fire Safety Team Leader will be to ensure that the West Midlands Fire Service legislative requirements are met under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, deliver Protection priorities, and support businesses through Better Regulation.
You will need to be flexible and adaptable, responding to emerging opportunities in line with strategic objectives of the organisation. You will need to be forward thinking and able to contribute to individual and team goals.
It is expected that you will be able to remain calm in high pressure situations, making sound decisions based on applicable guidance and legislation.
You will need an excellent understanding of the organisational strategy and be expected to support and positively promote the strategy of the organisation both internally and externally.
You will be able to demonstrate that you are change ready with a supportive understanding of the impact of change on teams and individuals and promote a positive and inclusive team culture, enabling others to maximise their full potential and to be as efficient and effective as possible by creating the right environment in the workplace.
The successful applicants will also need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven track record when working with others, demonstrating personal accountability and team working skills.
The successful applicants will be supported and mentored throughout their development in Fire Safety, however it is required that you will have: –
• A Level 4 Diploma in fire Safety (or equivalent) or working towards this qualification.
You will be required to show evidence of any qualifications you claim in this application.
