West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) has an opportunity for a Data Analyst (Maternity Cover) to join the Strategic Hub Team. The role has responsibility for research and data analysis across a range of areas, advising the strategic direction of the service and contributing to informed decision making on risk management, performance management, policy and service development.

We are seeking a colleague who possesses significant relevant skills in the use of MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word. Also, experience of undertaking data/performance analysis and an ability to present and communicate results accurately and effectively. Experience of using GIS mapping systems is essential; the use of data processing packages, application of Structured Query Language (SQL) and Microsoft PowerBi is desirable.
