Description

As an Admin Supervisor for the Coventry and Solihull Operations Administration Team, you will be required to manage capacity and capability and, in liaison with the Business Improvement and Administration Manager, ensure your team have the tools, knowledge and opportunity to deliver an excellent level of administration to support service delivery across Coventry and Solihull.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for completing Return to Work Interviews and Individual Performance Development Reviews together with managing attendance of your team.

Reporting to the Business Improvement and Administration Manager, who has overall responsibility for the delivery of administration, the key objective of the role is to provide supervision of your team and management of administration tasks required to be completed on a daily basis.

Already an excellent and experienced administrator with excellent communication skills both verbally and written, you should have experience of arranging meetings, taking notes and producing grammatically accurate, clear, concise minutes.

You will be required to deal with internal and external customers both face to face, via email and over the telephone, complimented by excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to articulate clearly and confidently.

Having a positive approach to your role in delivering excellent administrative support for the Coventry and Solihull Command, you will be required to work to tight deadlines. A flexible approach to work is essential, able to adapt to the needs of the service.

Previous supervisory experience is preferable but not essential.

Whilst the post is based at our newly built Coventry Fire Station, Radford Road, CV1 4EL, there will be a requirement to work, attend meetings and training at other locations across the West Midlands. In the current climate, a proportion of time will be spent working from home - considering the needs of the business.

As part of the assessment process, you will be required to complete a role specific exercise, a number of relevant tests and attend an interview which will be held at our headquarters in Birmingham.

Qualifications

You will have experience of using a variety of software packages including O365, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and be able to make best use of available technology.

Educated to GCSE English Grade C or equivalent as a minimum.

WMFS support ongoing personal development, should the duration of this post be extended/become permanent, you will be expected to complete a Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Apprenticeship Standard within a given period of time, with part of this involving attendance at college.
