Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to engage with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business needs. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work with a team of Business Analysts and a Development team to solve key business systems-related problems and improve and transform existing processes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to analyse information, define and prioritise requirements, evaluate potential solutions, provide recommendations to stakeholders, and deliver meaningful products
• Work closely with business functions to identify how IT change can help support their plans and to challenge Business Processes
• Operate during the entire IT Software Development Life Cycle from initial project inception, architecture and design, through to project delivery, with effective support through to business as usual
• Update business process documentation, including workflows, procedures etc
• Troubleshoot and resolve varying levels of technical issues

Qualifications

Essential Experience
• Experience in converting business requirements and functional/non-functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria to a very high standard
• Proven track record in communicating requirements successfully to the Development team
• Experience in capturing the as-is and to-be process
• Experience in creating BPMN process models to a very high standard
• Experience working with the full software development lifecycle, including both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and organisational skills; ability to adapt
• Effectively tailor communication style and message based on audience (colleagues, stakeholders and subject matter experts)
• Excellent interpersonal skills including diplomacy, negotiating, reasoning, problem solving, and influence
• Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret organisational needs
• Strong facilitation skills to gain requirements from various stakeholders across the organisation
• Ability to set priorities, plan, and independently execute tasks in a structured manner while working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to develop strong interdepartmental and cross-functional working relationships
• Detail oriented and flexible
• Strong sense of customer/solution ownership, an overall drive for excellence, and a proven ability to manage assigned project tasks to successful completion
• Experience supporting bespoke and COTS applications

Desirable Experience
• Experience of working Public Sector organisation / e.g. a Fire & Rescue Service

Desirable Qualifications
• Business Analysis certifications
• Member of a professional body connected with Business Analysis
• Relevant degree (or equivalent)
