Proud to support Pride!

West Midlands firefighters will again be lending their support to Birmingham Pride this weekend.

A fire engine and a crew from Ladywood fire station will join Saturday’s 12noon parade from Victoria Square to Hurst Street, supported by colleagues from across the brigade including Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Gary Taylor.

Following the parade, firefighters will be selling merchandise to raise funds for the Firefighters’ Charity, and a crew from Ladywood will also be in attendance on Sunday.

Said ACFO Taylor: “We always get a very warm welcome at Pride, and are delighted to be taking part again this year.

“The event has a brilliant atmosphere, and is a wonderful opportunity to raise funds for the Firefighters’ Charity and give out fire safety advice. We hope everyone attending has a great time, and stays safe.” (Ends)
