We are seeking companies for the supply and fitting of tyres for all West Midlands Fire Service’s fleet vehicles including all operational fire appliances and auxiliary vehicles. The contract may be used by three other Fire and Rescue Services

  • Hereford and Worcester
  • Staffordshire
  • Shropshire

The principle service user will be the West Midlands Fire Service.

The contract will be for 24 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months (from the date of award of contract).

We are seeking a company to provide a Manned Guarding Security Service for a period of 2 years with an option to extend up to 7 years at two West Midlands Fire Service sites:-

Fire Service Headquarters near Birmingham City Centre.
24 hours/365 days per year

The Academy at Smethwick.
Monday-Friday 0530-1030 and 1630-2230

The successful tenderer will be required to carry out regular auditable surveillance patrols of buildings and sites and monitor CCTV systems in line with current legislation, control the entry of authorised vehicles and personnel into Fire Service Headquarters and to undertake a complete unlock/lockup of the Academy building each morning and evening.

The contract shall include an option for a complete outsourced service and an option to provide guards to top up an in-house service.

The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 may apply to this Contract. Therefore, the successful tenderer will be expected to consider employing the existing labour force that may become available as a result of the granting of the new Contract.

Tenderers must be able to provide evidence of delivering a manned guarding service to a high professional standard. They should have achieved BS7499:2007 or equivalent and be SIA ACS accredited in the following licensable activities:

  • Security Guarding
  • CCTV
  • Key Holding
