Coventry Partnership Working

The Coventry Partnership, Coventry’s Local Strategic Partnership, has produced and is responsible for delivering Coventry’s Sustainable Communities Strategy, Coventry – The Next Twenty Years. The production of the Sustainable Communities Strategy is a government requirement, and Coventry City Council is responsible for its development and delivery ensuring that local people are involved in this process. It has been developed from the previous Coventry Community Plan.

The Coventry Partnership brings together senior representation from private, community, voluntary and public sectors, including West Midlands Fire Service. Through the Sustainable Communities Strategy, it aims to work together to improve outcomes and the quality of life for communities in Coventry. The strategy also aims to promote equal opportunities and more cohesive communities, at the same time, raising aspirations and narrowing the gap between the affluent and disadvantaged.

The Strategy will be used to inform the development of a range of key priorities and organisations plans, Theme Groups have been aligned with the each Strategy’s priorities to ensure action plans are developed and outcomes achieved.

West Midlands Fire Service has an active part in delivering the Sustainable Communities Strategy and as such, sits on the Coventry Partnership Board and each of the Theme Groups.
